Santa Clarita Park

Santa Clarita Park often called “Robot Park” by the locals, is located in Saugus on Seco Canyon Road. With lots of  activities available. There is the swimming pool, basketball courts, playground, softball field, horseshoe court and other things to do as well.

Here is a great piece of information from the City of Santa Clarita on Santa Clarita Park.

Santa Clarita Cross Country course in Central Park

The Santa Claria’s Cross Country trail course in Central Park is great for running, walking or even jogging with skippy. I have walked the whole trail, which goes over the hill and down to Newhall Ranch Road.

Star Dance Center in Newhall Rocks!

My daughter signed up for a Parks and Rec class of Musical Theater at the Star Dance Center in Newhall and the play they did was Camp Rock 2. The kids were of all ages and they rehearsed their play at the Star Dance Center located on Lyons Ave for approx. 2 months.

Tonight was the big performance and they were privileged to use  the big stage at Canyon Theatre Guild in Old Town Newhall. What a thrill that was for all the kids!

They all performed so so well!  It was truly enjoyable to watch them!

The Musical Theater instructor was Ms. Merrideth Lesyshyn who did a fabulous job with all these kids!

The Canyon Theatre Guild is a wonderful local Theatre for all to enjoy. They have classes and various types of theatre camps. I have had 2 children perform there and know of others who have gone to the summer camp and only good things can be said!

The site of the proposed Castaic High School

What a beautiful location for the proposed site of Castaic High School. High atop Romero Canyon with views all around for miles.

With just a few details to iron out for Castaic High School to become reality.

Here is the full article compliments of  Santa Clarita’s very own local newspaper, The Signal.

signs of real estate improvement

Signs of real estate improvement here in Santa Clarita valley can be seen in many ways. Of course houses selling is one good sign. Another sign is people actually coming out to buy. As a realtor I feel the momentum as both of these are happening more and more.

Banks are starting to “relax” a bit on their guidelines or are coming up with more programs for everyone to fit into. I have heard about banks letting first time buyers (haven’t owned a home in the last 3 yrs) put only 1% down and a 3% silent 2nd with a fico score of 640.

Another way of knowing the market is doing better is to see construction begin again!

Gourmet food trucks are cancelled for today

Darn the rain postpones the gourmet food trucks that were going to be at Central Park in Saugus. It would have been a great day. Oh well next week shall be just as good.

Here is the info from the City of Santa Clarita:
